TwoWheelsJapan へようこそ。このプロジェクトは、がんの治療法を研究する 2 つの組織、日本の「公益財団法人がん研究会」とイギリスの「The Brain Tumour Charity」への資金を集めるプロジェクトです。

　2024年5月2日に横浜を出発し、日本の4つの主要な島（北海道、本州、四国、九州）のそれぞれの最北端、最東端、最南端、最西端へサイクリングし、2024年7月24日に横浜に戻りました。出発前に、予定されていた走行距離である7500キロメートルに対して、1キロメートルごとに10円（約5ペンス）を各団体に寄付しました。実際に84 日間で自転車で走行した距離は 7,493 キロメートルでした。

2024年8月末時点、公益財団法人がん研究会への寄付合計は¥361,000、The Brain Tumour Charityへの寄付合計は £5764でした。

Welcome to TwoWheelsJapan, a project set up to raise funds for two organisations researching cures for cancer: The Brain Tumour Charity in the U.K. and The Japanese Foundation for Cancer Research.

Setting off from Yokohama on 02 May 2024, I cycled to the north, east, south and west of each of Japan’s four main islands (Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu), arriving back in Yokohama on 24 July 2024. Before starting out I made a donation of 10 Japanese yen (approximately 5p) to each organisation for each kilometre of the planned 7500-kilometre route. The actual distance cycled over the 84 days was 7493 kilometres.

As at the end of August 2024 the project had raised ¥361,000 for The Japanese Foundation for Cancer Research and £5764 for The Brain Tumour Charity.
